I’ve decided to produce this blog to answer questions, and write about topics related to birthing, breastfeeding, and natural parenting.  At this point both the blog and Tree of Life Childbirth Services are in their infancy.  I’m sure they will change and grow as my business changes and grows.

Being a childbirth educator is something I’ve thought about doing since I took Bradley Method® classes when I was pregnant with my first son seven years ago.  Before I became pregnant with Matthew I was a NYC Public School Dramatic Arts teacher.  It was something I really enjoyed doing- my first “dream job,” but I knew that for our family becoming a stay at home mom was the best decision.  Both my husband and I were raised by stay at home moms, and its something I looked forward to from childhood.  I haven’t regretted it for a second, but I am happy that I am finally at a place where I can put my passion for teaching, natural childbirth, breastfeeding, and mindful parenting to work, and out of my own home.
Thank you for joining me on this journey.
